Thank you for your interest in Jack Wild Publishing! We are now accepting poetry manuscripts.


We have two submission periods: January 24th - March 24th and June 20th - August 20th (our Summer Chapbook Contest).

Submission Guidelines:

We are currently accepting poetry manuscripts onlyWe charge a reading fee of $10 per manuscript. 

What to Include in Your Submissions Email:

  • the title of your book in the subject line

  • an introduction of yourself and your book in the body of the email (include contact information, a brief bio, and a description of your book)

  • as well as, a list of previous publications (if any) and relevant experience

  • if you are a returning author or have submitted to us before, please include that information in the email.

  • your completed manuscript attached as a Word document/pdf. (No links to Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)

  • a confirmation page for payment of the reading fee attached as an image (you can take a screenshot)

Your manuscript should have one-inch margins, 10-12pt text, and contain a Table of Contents, page numbers, and your name in the header or footer.

After submitting, please expect a reply within 2-4 weeks. Given the large amount of emails we receive, if you have not heard back from us after 3 months, please assume that your manuscript has been rejected. Please, no follow-up emails. 

How else can I become a Jack Wild author?

Every summer, we do our Summer Chapbook Contest. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a publishing contract with Jack Wild. We choose one winner. Our next contest begins around June 20th 2023. This gives you plenty of time to work on a new book or finish yours! Follow us on social media for information on the upcoming contest.
