With seasonal editions released throughout the year, we invite writers from all walks of life to share their voices through poetry, short stories, and essays. Our Fall and Spring editions offer a thematic canvas for writers to explore, drawing inspiration from the changing seasons. The Summer edition, a special showcase, spotlights author interviews alongside captivating poetry. We believe that every voice has a story to tell, and Avalon Anthology serves as a vibrant tapestry of diverse perspectives, emotions, and experiences. • Spring Edition: We accept submissions for our Spring Avalon Anthology from March 20th to April 3rd. We invite poetry, short stories, and essays that align with our theme that season.​

  • Spring 2024 Theme: "Spring in Bloom: Stories of Growth and Transformation" - share your unique perspectives on the themes of growth and transformation. This collection aims to inspire and uplift readers, offering a diverse range of narratives that reflect the ways in which we experience and interpret the season of renewal. 

  • Contributors are encouraged to explore these themes through various literary forms, including poems, short stories, and essays. 

  • Submissions should be previously unpublished and original.

  • No word limit.

  • Selected contributors will be featured in the anthology and receive a complementary copy of the anthology (does not include shipping and tax). 

  • $25 to submit

  • We have 4 scholarships available for any writers facing financial difficulty.
     

• Summer Edition: Our Summer edition coincides with the Summer Chapbook Contest. This special edition features author interviews and poetry. It's an opportunity to showcase the poetic talents within our community.

  • Contributors are exclusively contestants of the Summer Chapbook Contest. 

  • Summer 2024 Theme: "Sunlit Verses: A Celebration of Summer and Storytelling" - a capturing of the essence of summer including childhood memories, beachside adventures, road trips, and summer love. 

  • Submission must be unpublished and original, and not included in your manuscript submission for contest

  • Contributors will be featured in the anthology and receive a complementary copy of the anthology (does not include shipping and tax).
