Assistant to the Publishing Specialist

As the assistant of our Publishing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of our publishing processes and contribute to the creation of captivating content that resonates with our readers. If you're passionate about supporting the intricacies of the publishing world, collaborating with a dynamic team, and helping bring stories to life, this role is tailor-made for you.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Location: Remote

Hours: 5-10 hours per week, as needed


As an Assistant to the Publishing Specialist, you will work closely with our Publishing Specialist to ensure the seamless execution of content preparation, formatting, and distribution. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to maintaining our high standards and delivering content that captivates our readers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Publishing Specialist to format and prepare written content for publication across various platforms. 

  • Conducting quality checks to identify and rectify formatting and layout issues.

  • Coordinating with authors, editors, and other team members to ensure content is on track and deadlines are met. 

  • Helping maintain organized digital files and databases related to published content.

  • Assisting in coordinating events related to content releases.

  • Providing administrative support to the Publishing Specialist as needed. 


  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and external partners. 

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic publishing environment. 


You will be employed as an Independent Contractor. You maintain the autonomy to manage your own work schedule, allowing you to balance your professional commitments with personal pursuits, such as additional employment, education, or personal projects. While you operate independently, you remain an integral part of our collaborative team, contributing your talents to our collective success.
